5 Reasons to Be Ecstatic About Cosmetic Surgery

5 Reasons to Be Ecstatic About Cosmetic Surgery by

Although the aging process doesn't happen overnight, it may feel as if one day you woke up and realized you no longer look like a 20-year old. Cosmetic surgery is discussed everywhere these days: by the water cooler at work, on news reports and reality shows, in popular fashion magazines and among bloggers on the Internet. Have you been thinking about cosmetic surgery? Do you wonder if it's for you or whether you can afford the same luxury as celebrities? Can you imagine being ecstatic about "having some work" done? Here are five reasons you can get excited about the possibility of cosmetic surgery. (Please keep in mind that there are alternatives to cosmetic surgery, and any questions you have or decisions you make should first be discussed with your primary physician.)

Reason 1: You Can "Charge It!"

Most cosmetic surgeries are not covered by your insurance, and that has been one reason why many people don't have it surgery done. The cost of most procedures isn't on the list of reasons to be ecstatic because it is costly. Cosmetic surgery can range anywhere from $500 (for a minor procedure such as Botox) to $10,000 (for a facelift). The more areas you want treated, the most it costs. Years ago, financing cosmetic surgery wasn't an option. Most surgeons required their fees upfront. Now, however, you can actually get financing to cover these fees. Discuss financing options with your surgeon. Most surgeons work with financing companies and can get you a better rate than online services.

Reason 2: It'll Boost Your Self-Esteem

You're frustrated, and rightfully so. You eat a healthy diet. You exercise a few times a week. Although you've lost a significant amount of weight, stubborn fat continues to linger or you have sagging skin where you lost weight. This can crush your self-esteem to work so hard and not see the desired results. Cosmetic surgery can help boost self-esteem because you can finally fit into all those beautiful clothes hanging in your closet. Don't expect cosmetic surgery to solve all of your problems, though. It should be combined with an exercise program and a proper, healthy diet to help sculpt your body, while also helping you maintain and/or lose weight. If you suffer from an eating disorder or depression, talk to your physician or seek professional help.

Reason 3: Get Rid of Ugly Cellulite While Melting Away Fat, Without Surgery and a Long Recovery Period

Lipodissolve therapy is a new, non-invasive way to get rid of extra weight and ugly cellulite. A naturally occurring enzyme solution and soy, called phosphatidylcholine deoxycholate (PCDC), is "micro-injected" into the mid-layer of fat, and permanently-yes, permanently-dissolves fat deposits. Lipodissolve can be done on the abs, buttocks, love handles, chin and thighs. Most patients are able to resume normal activities almost immediately, so there's little or no downtime. The other benefit is that lipodissolve leaves no scars and carries few side effects. Better still, it is substantially lower in cost than other methods of fat removal!

Reason 4: There are Procedures That Offer "Reduced Bruising"

Along with lipodissolve therapy, there are other cosmetic procedures that can be done with very little bruising or swelling. The 72 Hour Facelift has reported that most patients recover and can go back to their normal activities within 3 days. The procedure also has a low rate of complications, a nearly bruise-free recovery, and produces minimal swelling. A new procedure called "tumescent" liposuction helps to minimize bleeding and bruising. The internal ultrasound destroys fat cells prior to evacuation, reducing the trauma to the tissues and minimizing postoperative bleeding, bruising and pain. For those of you suffering the first signs of aging, such as fine lines, enlarged pores, or acne scars, consider cosmetic procedures such as dermabrasion or chemical peels that will remove layers of dead skin cells that make your face look dull.

Reason 5: The Risks Are Minimal

Every surgical procedure has risks, but most risks involved in cosmetic surgery are minimal. Swelling, redness and bruising is one of the leading side effects of cosmetic surgery. Each procedure involves certain risks. Be sure to ask your physician or surgeon about any possible risks pertaining to the type of procedure you are considering.
